KETTLE & TIN THIRD ANNUAL CHILI COOK OFF

On Sunday 29th March, Kettle & Tin celebrated their Third Annual Chili Cook Off to mark the end of Brewsvegas 2015! Hundreds of Brisbane chili lovers braved the heat to sample some of the best (and the hottest) chili in town. The competition was fierce, with Anise taking out the coveted title of Brisbane’s best chili, and Super Whatnot winning people’s choice. Check out the full event gallery here.

SWAY BAR BUBBLEDOGS LAUNCH 

Friday nights in Brisbane have gotten a whole lot tastier! On Friday 6th February, Sway Bar, one of Brisbane’s newest cocktail lounge bars, launched their weekly Bubbledogs event. Guests were spoiled with  champagne and gourmet hot dogs – courtesy of the Gourmet H-Dogz food truck.

E’CCO BISTRO RELAUNCH

Highly regarded chef and restauranteur Philip Johnson welcomed over 200 guests to e’cco bistro’s VIP re-launch on the 8th October. The event celebrated the restaurant’s recent renovations with bubbles, live oyster shucking and the launch of their Chairs for Charity silent auction benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  2015 sees the iconic restaurant enter is 20th year in Brisbane.  View the FULL event gallery here.

DUTCH COURAGE OPENS ITS DOORS

Fortitude Valley’s most unique location opened up with a jam packed VIP launch night.  Owner, Matthew Hilan’s first venue Dutch Courage Officers’ Mess houses over 85 varieties of gin, delicious cocktails and a delectable share plate menu to boot.  View the FULL event gallery here.

KETTLE & TIN’S ANNUAL CHILLI COOK OFF

Things got a little spicy over in Kettle & Tin’s backyard with their second annual chilli cook off!  As part of the BREWSVEGAS beer festival, chefs and venues battled it out to see who would take out the title of Chilli Master.  This year’s venues included: Cove Bar & Dining, Locanda Osteria & Bar, Super Whatnot, Padre, Alkaline Warriors, The Statler & Waldorf Gastronomy Pub and last year’s People’s Choice Winner’s Anise who  took out the title for a 2nd year in a row!  Winning the coveted title of Chilli Master was Chef Suwisa and team from Cove Bar & Dining.  Special judges included Kettle and Tin’s chef Frazer Henderson and chef Philip Johnson from E’cco Bistro.

HARLOW HOT YOGA CHRISTMAS CHARITY FASHION PARADE & AUCTION

Harlow Hot Yoga teamed up with a bevvy of well known sponsors to host their VIP Christmas parade and charity auction. Held at Harlow’s Newstead studio, the event saw 200 guests in attendance, keen to support local charity – The New Farm Neighbourhood Centre for homelessness.  With a fashion parade featuring yoga clothing donated by Lululemon Athethletica and models from Vivien’s Models, the fashion auction and charity raffle raised over $2,000 from a whopping prize pool of $11,000.  Sponsored by Style Magazines, Vivien’s Models, Lululemon Athethletica, Ford Digital Agency, Brisbane Racing Club, Milque Photography, Laruche, Gerard’s Bistro, CAPI, The Brow Bar, Lush Tan, Websters Wealth Partners, North South Real Estate, Jason Andrew Auctioneers, Blue Lagoon, Prestige Personal Training, Think Better Be Better, Yoga NRG, Le Physique Physio and Bryce Tunny.

Jacklyn Robb of Harlow Yoga said “The event was a magnificent success and I am so touched by the generosity of guests in attendance.  Thoughts are already going into the event for 2014 on how we can make it bigger and better and raise even more money for local charities!”

 

JAKE FROM MY KITCHEN RULES AT GURTS 

Jake from the dynamic cooking duo, Jake & Elle from My Kitchen Rules, appeared at gurts frozen yogurt and dessert bar at Gasworks as part of the opening weekend celebrations and Taste of Gasworks day! COBBLER BAR LAUNCH PARTY, WEST END

Cobbler owners Martin Lange, Asa Boardman and Trent Goodwin celebrated the opening of their latest venture – Cobbler.  Located at 7 Browning Street, West End, you can find over 150+ whiskys from all over the world, mix these up with delicious cocktails and you have yourself a winning venue.

Guests celebrated at the rooftop pool whilst taking in spectacular city views at the exclusive launch of the brand new Ecco Apartments block in Kurilpa Street, West End.
